Papers of Mary Barry Martin Freeman consisting of Freeman family papers; clippings of historical or topical interest, primarily relating to Robertson County, Tenn.; genealogical data gathered by Mrs. Freeman in the course of her career as a genealogist; and records and clippings concerning the following organizations: the American Legion Auxiliary, Springfield (Tenn.) Unit No. 48; the Charlotte Reeves Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Springfield Chapter 1741 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy; and the Col. Thomas Hart Benton Chapter of the National Society, U.S. Daughters of 1812. The genealogical data includes some newspaper obituaries, copies of wills, and land records for 129 families, principally from Robertson County or with Robertson County connections. A later addition to the papers primarily contains UDC materials.
